Really neat and cool idea! sort of a hybrid metroidvania-souls-like.
I found outrunning the enemies to the next fountain was the quickest way through, especially for no reward/reason to kill them.Pretty good art and level design and the boss was a decent challenge.Could definitely be expanded upon!

Yep, that isn't supposed to happen. The tilemap collision is missing there, and you're triggering a loading zone, hence the flickering.
